Moustache growing time!

That's right, sports fans.

Mike has one month, aka 30 days, to grow a magnificently lusciously full moustache. For charity!

But don't think this is complete frivolity. Nay my friends, this is part of a charity moustache growing event. You can sponsor Mike here and help in the fight against prostate cancer.

Of course, in order to grow a pleasing 'stache, one must begin with a fresh palette!

Check back in a week to see if Mike's moustache has sprouted.

Summertime

If we can't be creative with our blog titles, at least we can be brief!

For anyone who has been itching to see a pic of the niece Miriam, consider yourself, uh, scratched?

Here's a pic (only the most devoted aunt can bestow a child with large sunglasses, and then have the nerve to take a photo)!

The first new niece/nephew is born

Yup. That's right. Niece number one, Miriam, is now with us.

Here is a pic.

Now we have to wait until July to become Aunt and Uncle again. By that time, we should be total experts!

And for a little extra spice, here are a couple shots from our mini-moon.

We did it!

Hooray!

The wedding went off without a hitch and we are now Mr. Mike and Ms. Jeny . . . okay, so that did not change.

We have put up a few pics already and we will add more as they roll in.

Click on the pic to get to our webshots site and see some snapshots.

Thanks to everyone who came to the wedding, who wanted to come but could not and who helped make the day go smoothly.

Photos

Here is a link to some wedding shower photos (Mike and Jeny aren't in any of these because Jeny took all of them, but we'll try to remedy that soon).

Update

Hey there everybody!

With less than one month left until the wedding, people are starting to ask questions about flying into Toronto, transportation to Whitby, etc.

To help you out, if you are flying into Pearson and need to use some form of group transit, here are some handy links.

Toronto Airport Express (Bus) - This bus goes from Pearson International Airport to several downtown hotels, most of which are close to the TTC (public transit). If you are going right from the airport to Whitby, you can get off the bus at the Fairmont Royal York hotel, which is right across the street from Union Station where you can catch a GO train that will go east to Whitby.

You can also take the TTC to and from Pearson. We will post more info on how to do this when we get it.

Greater Toronto Airport Authority webpage - if you have a few minutes to navigate around, you will find useful info here about ground transportation of all kinds.

Welcome to Our Wedding Blog!

Greetings everyone!

Thanks for visiting our blog. Hopefully, it will provide you with useful info about our upcoming nuptials.

With luck, you have all received your invitations and your return cards are now sailing back to us on the wings of Canada Post. (Apologies to those in the US who got their invites a bit late, due to the difficulties of acquiring stamps for the return cards.)

Feel free to leave comments or ask questions on any of the postings here. And thanks to those of you who have already been brave enough to leave comments.

Wedding Date & Details
March 10, 2007

Location: Whitby, Ontario
Tea & Refreshments: at the church, immediately following the ceremony
Ceremony: 2 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church
Reception: 6 pm at Le Gala Banquet and Conference Centre

Check here again, as this will be a work in progress until we tie the knot.

RSVP and Special Diets

RSVP
Please RSVP by February 5, 2007.

If your return card hasn't gotten into the mail yet, give us a call or an email (jenynussey@yahoo.ca or m.mikeschulz@gmail.com).

Meals

Make a note somewhere on your response card if you need a special meal, e.g., if you are diabetic or if you are a vegetarian, so that we can do our best to feed you something appropriate.

If you need a vegetarian or diabetic meal and you forgot to mention it on your return card, just drop us an email (see the addresses two paragraphs above). Hopefully the bride being a vegetarian will give the veggies an advantage in terms of the quality of the meal!
